VRS vs. VDS
A boss may observe your results and assign you more work for as long as he benefits from your output. When those benefits begin to diminish, he will create a situation that eventually compels you to resign. This is referred to as Voluntary Retirement from the Service (VRS). Such behavior is a common, selfish tendency found in most humans, with only a few exceptions.
In contrast, a Sadguru observes your potential and provides you with the opportunity to lead, after which he disappears from the scene. This phenomenon is referred to as Voluntary Disappearing from the Scene (VDS). Because you possess the same skill as your Sadguru in identifying the potential within others, you will continue the tradition he established: you will recognize potential in your followers, grant the appropriate person the opportunity to lead, and then voluntarily disappear from the scene when the right moment arrives. This is the glorified path of Sanathana Dharma.
