“When There Is No Me”
Since I am unable to create this body in the manner I desire—whether as male or female, or endowed with beauty, health, longevity, intelligence, and other qualities—I cannot truly regard this body as my own.

My parents may have been the instrumental cause for the formation of this body, yet even they cannot claim ownership over it. For this body was not created entirely according to their wishes either—not with the exact form, nature, beauty, health, lifespan, or intellect they may have desired.

Then, through the grace of the Guru, upon realizing by whom, why, and how this body has come into being, if one entrusts this body unto Him, the ignorance that mistakes the physical body itself as the “I” begins to dissolve.

Once it is realized that the Annamaya Kosha—the outermost of the five sheaths—is not the “I,” then, in the same manner, the remaining sheaths—the Pranamaya, Manomaya, Vijnanamaya, and Anandamaya Koshas—also are realised as not being the true “I.”

Only in this state does the pure awareness of nothingness—free from all koshas—spontaneously reveal itself and shine forth.

“நான் இல்லாதபோது”
நான் விரும்பும் விதத்தில்—ஆணாகவோ பெண்ணாகவோ, அல்லது அழகு, ஆரோக்கியம், நீண்ட ஆயுள், அறிவு மற்றும் பிற குணங்களுடன்—இந்த உடலை என்னால் உருவாக்க முடியாததால், இந்த உடலை என்னால் உண்மையாகவே என்னுடையதாகக் கருத முடியாது.

இந்த உடல் உருவாவதற்கு என் பெற்றோரே காரணமாக இருந்திருக்கலாம், ஆனாலும் அவர்களால்கூட இதன் மீது உரிமை கோர முடியாது. ஏனெனில், இந்த உடலும் அவர்களின் விருப்பங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப முழுமையாக உருவாக்கப்படவில்லை—அவர்கள் விரும்பிய சரியான வடிவம், இயல்பு, அழகு, ஆரோக்கியம், ஆயுட்காலம் அல்லது அறிவுத்திறனுடன் அல்ல.

பின்னர், குருவின் அருளால், இந்த உடல் யாரால், ஏன், எப்படி உருவானது என்பதை உணர்ந்து, ஒருவர் இந்த உடலை அவரிடம் ஒப்படைத்தால், இந்த பௌதிக உடலையே ‘நான்’ என்று தவறாக எண்ணும் அறியாமை கரையத் தொடங்குகிறது.

ஐந்து கோஷங்களில் மிக வெளிக்கோஷமான அன்னமய கோஷம் ‘நான்’ அல்ல என்பதை உணர்ந்தவுடன், அதேபோல, மீதமுள்ள கோஷங்களான பிராணமய, மனோமய, விஞ்ஞானமய மற்றும் ஆனந்தமய கோஷங்களும் உண்மையான ‘நான்’ அல்ல என்பது உணரப்படுகிறது.

இந்த நிலையில் மட்டுமே, அனைத்து கோஷங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுபட்ட, ஒன்றுமில்லாத  தூய விழிப்புணர்வு தன்னிச்சையாக வெளிப்பட்டு பிரகாசிக்கிறது.
