விக்யான் பைரவ தந்திர சூத்திரம் 4

In the fourth sutra of the ancient Vignyana Bhairava Tantra, Shiva reveals another profound meditation method to the Goddess:

“Where exhalation dissolves into inhalation, become still.”

Interpretation:
This teaching points toward the silent gap between outgoing and incoming breath—a state in which the mind momentarily dissolves into pure awareness.

Within the five-letter mantra “Nama Shivaya,” the subtle sound “Shivaya” is inwardly united with the incoming breath and drawn into the navel lotus, where it merges with the supreme energy as Shiva-Shakti. Then, with the outgoing breath, the sound “Nama” is released and condensed within the exhalation itself.

When the exhaled breath carrying the vibration of “Nama” is held in stillness for a few moments at the end of exhalation, that very sound re-enters with the next inhalation, dissolves into “Shivaya,” and reunites as the complete five-letter mantra: “Nama Shivaya.”

Through this cyclic union of breath, sound, and awareness, the mantra becomes inwardly concentrated within the subtle spiritual center known as Peedeswari.

பண்டைய விக்ஞான பைரவ தந்திரத்தின் நான்காவது சூத்திரத்தில், சிவன் தேவிக்கு மற்றொரு ஆழ்ந்த தியான முறையை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறார்:

“மூச்சு வெளிவிடுதல் உள்மூச்சாகக் கரையும் இடத்தில், அமைதியாக இரு.”

இந்த போதனையானது, வெளிவிடும் மற்றும் உள்மூச்சுக்கு இடையேயான மௌன இடைவெளியைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டுகிறது—மனம் ஒரு கணம் தூய விழிப்புணர்வில் கரையும் ஓர் நிலை.

“நம சிவாய” என்ற ஐவெழுத்து மந்திரத்தில், “சிவாய” என்ற நுட்பமான  சப்தம் உள்மூச்சுடன் ஒன்றிணைந்து, நாபிக் கமலத்துக்குள் இழுக்கப்படுகிறது. அங்கு அது சிவசக்தியாக பரம ஆற்றலுடன் கலக்கிறது. பின்னர், வெளிவிடும் மூச்சுடன், “நம” என்ற சப்தம் வெளிப்பட்டு, அந்த வெளி மூச்சிற்குள்ளேயே ஒடுங்கி விடுகிறது..

“நம” எனும் அதிர்வைச் சுமந்து வெளிவிடும் மூச்சை, அதன் முடிவில் சில கணங்கள் அசையாமல் நிறுத்தி வைக்கும்போது, அதே சப்தம் அடுத்த உள்மூச்சில் மீண்டும் நுழைந்து, “சிவாய” என்னும் சப்தத்துடன் கரைந்து, “நம சிவாய” என்ற முழுமையான ஐவெழுத்து மந்திரமாக மீண்டும் இணைகிறது.

மூச்சு, சப்தம் மற்றும் விழிப்புணர்வு ஆகியவற்றின் இந்தச் சுழற்சிமுறை ஒன்றிணைப்பின் மூலம், அந்த மந்திரம் பீடேஸ்வரி எனப்படும் நுட்பமான ஆன்மீக மையத்திற்குள் அகவயமாகச் செறிவூட்டப்படுகிறது.
