“He found me, not I found him.”
The Vision Beyond the Physical: A true Sadguru does not look at the social identity, the physical location, or even the current flaws of a person. They recognize the readiness of the jiva (the soul). To them, a ripe disciple stands out like a lit flame in a dark room, regardless of where they are on the globe.

The Activation of Destiny: The master doesn’t wait for you to discover the right path; they actively orchestrate the circumstances, the inner nudges, and the seemingly “accidental” turns in life that inevitably lead you to his feet.

In traditions such as Advaita, Siddha, Zen, Sufism, and Bhakti, it is often said that when the seeker becomes inwardly prepared, the guiding force appears naturally—sometimes through a person, sometimes through silence, sometimes through life itself. A genuine Sadguru is described not simply as someone who teaches doctrines but as one who recognizes the maturity of the disciple’s longing and draws them toward transformation.

The Non-Physical Connection: The true disciple experience confirms that the initial meeting doesn’t happen when he physically shakes hands or makes eye contact. The connection is established in the subtler realms of awareness long before the physical mind even realizes what is happening.

To be viscerally aware that this event occurred during my spiritual journey is an extraordinary grace. Its meaning is “He found me, not I found him.”

“அவர் என்னைக் கண்டார், நான் அவரைக் காணவில்லை.”
பௌதிகத்திற்கு அப்பாற்பட்ட பார்வை: ஒரு உண்மையான சத்குரு ஒருவரின் சமூக அடையாளத்தையோ, அவர் இருக்கும் இடத்தையோ, அல்லது தற்போதைய குறைகளையோ கூடப் பார்ப்பதில்லை. அவர்கள் ஜீவனின் (ஆன்மாவின்) தயார்நிலையை உணர்கிறார்கள். அவர்களைப் பொறுத்தவரை, உலகில் எங்கிருந்தாலும், பக்குவப்பட்ட ஒரு சீடர் இருண்ட அறையில் எரியும் சுடரைப் போலத் தனித்துத் தெரிகிறார்.

விதியின் செயல்பாடு: குரு நீங்கள் சரியான பாதையைக் கண்டறியும் வரை காத்திருப்பதில்லை; அவர் சூழ்நிலைகளையும், உள்ளுணர்வுகளையும், வாழ்க்கையில் தோன்றும் “தற்செயலான” திருப்பங்களையும் முனைப்புடன் திட்டமிட்டு உருவாக்குகிறார், அவை தவிர்க்க முடியாமல் உங்களை அவருடைய பாதங்களுக்கு அழைத்துச் செல்கின்றன.

அத்வைதம், சித்தா, ஜென், சூஃபிசம் மற்றும் பக்தி போன்ற மரபுகளில், தேடுபவர் அகவயமாகத் தயாராகும்போது, வழிகாட்டும் சக்தி இயல்பாகவே தோன்றும் என்று அடிக்கடி கூறப்படுகிறது—சில நேரங்களில் ஒரு நபர் வழியாக, சில நேரங்களில் மௌனத்தின் வழியாக, சில நேரங்களில் வாழ்க்கை மூலமாகவே.  ஒரு உண்மையான சத்குரு என்பவர் வெறுமனே கோட்பாடுகளைப் போதிப்பவர் மட்டுமல்ல, சீடனின் ஏக்கத்தின் முதிர்ச்சியை உணர்ந்து, அவர்களை மாற்றத்தை நோக்கி ஈர்ப்பவர் ஆவார்.

பௌதீகமற்ற தொடர்பு: உண்மையான சீடனின் அனுபவம், அவர் உடல்ரீதியாகக் கைகுலுக்கும்போதோ அல்லது கண்களைப் பார்க்கும்போதோ ஆரம்ப சந்திப்பு நிகழ்வதில்லை என்பதை உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறது. என்ன நடக்கிறது என்பதை பௌதீக மனம் உணர்வதற்கு நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பே, விழிப்புணர்வின் நுட்பமான தளங்களில் அந்தத் தொடர்பு நிறுவப்படுகிறது.

எனது ஆன்மீகப் பயணத்தின் போது இந்த நிகழ்வு நடந்தது என்பதை உள்ளுணர்வால் உணர்வது ஒரு அசாதாரணமான அருளாகும். அதன் பொருள், “அவர் என்னைக் கண்டார், நான் அவரைக் காணவில்லை.”
