Two ways the ‘I’ arises in the body:
If the ‘I’ in the body is the first to arise, that is ego; that is the mind. This mind is responsible for generating new karmic vasanas, leading to repeated cycles of rebirth.
If the body’s ‘existence’ is first realized, that is Shivam’s ‘I,’ which destroys Sanchita and Prarabdha karmas and grants birthlessness.
உடலில் ‘நான்’ முதலில் தோன்றினால், அதுவே அகங்காரம்; அதுவே மனம். இந்த மனமே புதிய கர்ம வாசனைகளை உருவாக்கி, மீண்டும் மீண்டும் பிறவிச் சுழற்சிகளுக்கு வழிவகுக்கிறது.
உடலின் ‘இருப்பு’ முதலில் உணரப்பட்டால், அதுவே சிவனின் ‘நான்’; அது சஞ்சித மற்றும் பிராரப்த கர்மங்களை அழித்து, பிறப்பின்மையை அருளுகிறது.
