Gunaseelam Sri Prasanna Venkatajalapathi Perumal — Part 4
Is it a prayer performed in the presence of God?
Or is it a prayer performed with presence before God?
Or is it a prayer performed in the realization that Presence itself is God?
Which of these is the true prayer?
Hazrat Rumi has explained the following:
“No prayer is complete without presence.”
If this is so, an individual’s becoming present before or after God is not something that can be guaranteed.
Rather, if Presence itself is God, then Presence is always complete and fully assured.
Therefore, when one prays, one’s presence is not separate from God.
One’s presence itself is God.
And the prayer that takes place in that Presence is the complete prayer.
