“Find out the true self to love.”
If you don’t love your spouse, your neighbor will, and if you don’t love your employee, a competitor will. Similarly, if you fail to love your soul, any other being will do so.
Interpretation with Rishi Yagyavalkya statement:
Verily, everything is not dear, that you may love everything, but that you may love the Self, therefore, everything is dear.
Indeed, we must see, hear, perceive, and mark the Self, O Maitreyi ! When the self has been seen, heard, perceived, and known, then all this is known!
And hence, if you fail to love your soul, everything becomes undear to you.
