Interpretation:
If you stand as the body, then that body, which is the Food Sheath, is the soul;
If you stand as the mind, which is the mixture of thoughts, then that mind, which is the Mind Sheath, is the soul;
If you stand as the intellect that can know, then that intellect, which is the Wisdom/Intellect Sheath, is the soul;
If you stand as breath, then that breath, which is the energy sheath, is the soul.
And if you stand as bliss, then that bliss, which is the Bliss Sheath, is the soul…
Just as the salty doll that arises from the salty nature of the sea dissolves and disappears in that sea, these five koshas that arise from the light of the soul also dissolve and disappear in the same light of the soul.

நீங்கள் எங்கு நின்றாலும், அந்த இடத்தின் ஆன்மாவாக இருங்கள். -ரூமி
Interpretation:
நீங்கள் உங்களை உடம்பாக உணர்ந்து நின்றால், அன்னமய கோசமாகிய அவ்வுடம்பே ஆன்மா என்றும்,
எண்ணங்களின் கலவையாகிய மனமாக நின்றால் மனோமய கோசமாகிய அம்மனமே ஆன்மா என்றும்,
அறியக்கூடிய புத்தியாக நின்றால், விஞ்ஞானமய கோசமாகிய அப் புத்தியே ஆன்மா என்றும், சுவாசமாக நின்றால்,
பிராணமய கோசமாகிய அச் சுவாசமே ஆன்மா என்றும், ஆனந்தமாக நின்றால்,
ஆனந்தமய கோசமாகிய அவ்வானந்தமே ஆன்மா என்றும் இருந்தால்…
எவ்வாறு கடலின் உப்பு தன்மையிலிருந்து தோன்றிய உப்பு பதுமையானது அக்கடலிலேயே கரைந்து மறைந்து விடுவது போல், ஆன்ம ஒளியால் தோன்றிய இந்த பஞ்ச கோசங்களும் அதே ஆன்ம ஒளியில் கரைந்து மறைந்து போய்விடும்.
