Nirvana Shatakam-2
Hazrat Rumi said, “There is a force within that gives you life—seek that.”
Sri Adi Sankara, in his Nirvana Shatakam, gives a clue to seek that true force in the following manner…
I am neither the mind, nor the intellect, nor the ego, nor the emotions; I am neither the ears, nor the skin, nor the nose, nor the eyes; I am neither the sky, nor the earth, nor the fire, nor the water, nor the air. I am the true force that causes all of these to function.
I am neither the breath nor the five vital airs of the body, I am neither the seven constituents of the body nor the five sheaths. I am neither the organ of speech, nor the hands, feet, genitals, or anus I am the true force that causes all of these to function.
Within me there is neither hatred nor desire, neither greed nor delusion. Within me there is no pride, arrogance, or envy; I have no duty, nor any desire for wealth, lust, or liberation. I am the true force that causes all of these aspects to function.
I have neither good nor bad karma, neither pleasure nor pain, I have no need for mantras, pilgrimages, scriptures, or rituals, I am neither the experience, nor the experienced, nor the experiencer, I am the true force that causes all of these aspects to function.
I have no death, nor the fear of death; I have no caste or religion; I have no father, nor mother, because I was never born; I am neither a relative, a friend, a teacher, nor a disciple. I am the true force that causes all of these aspects to function.
I am without duality, my form is formless, I am everywhere, pervading all senses.I am not attached, neither free nor bound. I am the true force that causes all of these aspects to function.

“ஸ்ரீ ஆதி சங்கரரின் நிர்வாண ஷதகம்“
ஹஸ்ரத் ரூமி கூறுகிறார், “உங்களுக்கு வாழ்வளிக்கும் ஒரு சக்தி உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறது—அதைத் தேடுங்கள்.”
ஸ்ரீ ஆதி சங்கரர், தனது நிர்வாண ஷதகத்தில், அந்த உண்மையான சக்தியைத் தேடுவதற்கான ஒரு குறிப்பை பின்வரும் விதத்தில் அளிக்கிறார்.
நான் மனமும் அல்ல, புத்தியும் அல்ல, அகங்காரமும் அல்ல, உணர்ச்சிகளும் அல்ல; நான் காதும் அல்ல, தோலும் அல்ல, மூக்கும் அல்ல, கண்ணும் அல்ல; நான் ஆகாயமும் அல்ல, பூமியும் அல்ல, நெருப்பும் அல்ல, நீரும் அல்ல, காற்றும் அல்ல.இவை அனைத்தும் இயங்குவதற்குக் காரணமான உண்மையான சக்தி நானே.
நான் மூச்சும் அல்ல, உடலின் ஐந்து பிராணன்களும் அல்ல; நான் உடலின் ஏழு தாதுக்களும் அல்ல, ஐந்து கோசங்களும் அல்ல. நான் பேச்சுறுப்பும் அல்ல, கைகளும், கால்களும், பிறப்புறுப்பும், மலத்துவாரமும் அல்ல. இவை அனைத்தும் இயங்குவதற்குக் காரணமான உண்மையான சக்தி நானே.
எனக்குள் வெறுப்பும் இல்லை, ஆசையும் இல்லை; பேராசையும் இல்லை, மயக்கமும் இல்லை. என்னுள் பெருமையும் இல்லை, அகங்காரமும் இல்லை, பொறாமையும் இல்லை; எனக்குக் கடமையும் இல்லை, செல்வத்தின் மீதோ, காமத்தின் மீதோ, முக்தியின் மீதோ ஆசையும் இல்லை. இவை அனைத்து அம்சங்களும் இயங்குவதற்குக் காரணமான உண்மையான சக்தி நானே.
எனக்கு நல்ல கர்மமும் இல்லை, கெட்ட கர்மமும் இல்லை; இன்பமும் இல்லை, துன்பமும் இல்லை; எனக்கு மந்திரங்களோ, புனித யாத்திரைகளோ, சாஸ்திரங்களோ, சடங்குகளோ தேவையில்லை; நான் அனுபவமும் அல்ல, அனுபவிக்கப்படுபவனும் அல்ல, அனுபவிப்பவனும் அல்ல; இவை அனைத்து அம்சங்களும் இயங்குவதற்குக் காரணமான உண்மையான சக்தி நானே.
எனக்கு மரணமும் இல்லை, மரண பயமும் இல்லை; எனக்குச் சாதியும் இல்லை, மதமும் இல்லை; எனக்குத் தந்தையும் இல்லை, தாயும் இல்லை, ஏனெனில் நான் ஒருபோதும் பிறந்ததில்லை; நான் உறவினரும் அல்ல, நண்பரும் அல்ல, ஆசிரியரும் அல்ல, சீடனும் அல்ல. இவை அனைத்து அம்சங்களும் இயங்குவதற்குக் காரணமான உண்மையான சக்தி நானே.
நான் இருமையற்றவன்; என் வடிவம் உருவமற்றது; நான் எங்கும் நிறைந்தவன், எல்லாப் புலன்களிலும் வியாபித்திருப்பவன். நான் பற்றற்றவன், கட்டுப்பட்டவனும் அல்ல, விடுபட்டவனும் அல்ல. இவை அனைத்து அம்சங்களும் இயங்குவதற்குக் காரணமான உண்மையான சக்தி நானே.
