“The manifestation of the soul”
The soul is the one who indicates ‘I’ until death, not the dead body. The dead body does not move; the power that moved that body until death is the soul. Similarly, the senses of touch, taste, sight, hearing, and smell in the dead body do not function; the power that felt, spoke, saw, heard, and smelled through that body until death is the soul. The dead body does not think; the power of thought that was possessed by that body until death is the soul. The dead body does not know; the power of knowledge that was known by that body until death is the soul. The soul is the one who breathes, not the dead body. The soul is the one who experiences pleasure, not the dead body. Thus, the body, even when it is in a separate state and after death, is comparable to an inanimate object!

As Hazrat Rumi said, “There is a force within that gives you life—seek that.” The force that pervades the inanimate body from its very appearance and which has been animating that body from birth is the soul. If one considers this power as God and continuously acknowledges through one’s body that ‘God exists,’ then this life force will grant that body the great blessing of immortality, as it did for Arutprakasa Vallalar, and transform that body into a golden body.

இறந்த உடல் ‘ நான்’ என்று சொல்வதில்லை, இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடலால் சுட்டிக்காட்டப்பட்ட நான்’ என்பதே ஆன்மாவாகும். இறந்த உடல் அசைவதில்லை , இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடம்பை அசைவித்த சக்தியே ஆன்மாவாகும். அவ்வாறே இறந்த உடலில் உள்ள மெய், வாய், கண், காது, நாசி போன்றவைகள் இயங்குவதில்லை, இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடலால் உணரப்பட்ட, பேசப்பட்ட,  பார்க்கப்பட்ட, கேட்கப்பட்ட, நுகரப்பட்ட, சக்தியே ஆன்மாவாகும். இறந்த உடல் நினைப்பதில்லை, இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடலால் நினைக்கப்பட நினைவின் சக்தியே ஆன்மாவாகும். இறந்த உடல் அறிவதில்லை, இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடலால் அறியப்பட்ட அறிவின் சக்தியே ஆன்மாவாகும். இறந்த உடல் சுவாசிப்பதில்லை, இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடலால்  சுவாசிக்கப்பட்ட  சுவாச சக்தியே ஆன்மாவாகும். இறந்த உடல் இன்புறுவதில்லை, இறப்புக்கு முன்பு வரை அவ்வுடலால் அனுபவிக்கப்பட்ட இன்ப உணர்வே ஆன்மாவாகும். ஆக உடல் என்பது தனித்த நிலையில் இருக்கும் போதும், இறந்த பின்பும் ஓர் ஜட பொருளுக்கு ஒப்பானதே!

உங்களுக்குள் ஒரு சக்தி இருக்கிறது அது உங்களுக்கு உயிர் கொடுக்கிறது என்று ஹஸ்ரத் ரூமி கூறியுள்ளது போல், ஜட வஸ்துவான உடம்பின் தோற்றத்திலிருந்து அதனுள் உயிர் சக்தியாக வியாபித்து, பிறந்ததிலிருந்து  அவ் உடம்பை இயங்க செய்து கொண்டிருந்த சக்தியே ஆன்மாவாகும். இச் சக்தியையே இறைவனாக பாவித்து, ஒருவர் தம் உடம்பின் வழியே முறையாக,  ‘ இருக்கிறார் இறைவன்’  என இடைவிடாது அங்கீகரித்துக் கொண்டே இருந்தால், உயிர் சக்தியானது அத்தகைய உடம்பிற்கு, அருட்பிரகாச வள்ளல் பெருமானுக்கு  அளித்த பெரும்பேறு போல், இறப்பில்லா பெருவாழ்வை அளித்து,  அவ்வுடம்பை பொன்னுடம்பாக்கி விடும் .
