தலையிலிருந்து இதயத்திற்கு இறங்குவது ஆன்மீக சாதனாவின் தொடக்கமாகும். -ஸ்ரீ ரமண மகரிஷி.
இங்கு ரமண மகரிஷி குறிப்பிடும் இதயம் என்பது ஒரு பௌதிக பொருள் அன்று மெய், வாய், கண், காது, நாசி, மனம், புத்தி, அகங்காரம் என்று எட்டு விதமாக விரிவடைந்த பிரகிருதிக்கு, ஆதார சக்தியாக விளங்கும் புருஷத்துவம் நிறைந்த இடமாகும்.
“எண் சாண் உடம்புக்கு சிரசே பிரதானம்” என்னும் பழமொழிக்கு ஏற்ப எட்டு விதமாக பிரிவுபட்ட பிரகிருதிக்கு சிரசு என்னும் தலையே பிரதானமாகிறது. ஏனெனில் எல்லா உறுப்புக்களும் செயல்படுவதற்குரிய ‘ கட்டளை’ என்பது பிறப்பிக்கப்படும் பாகமான மூளை தலையில் அமைந்துள்ளதால்! ஆனால் உண்மையில் ‘ கட்டளைக்கு கட்டளையாக’ விளங்கிக் கொண்டிருப்பது ஆதார சக்தியான புருஷத்துவமே. அதற்கு எவ்வுருவமும் இல்லை என்றாலும்…
இந்த ‘புருஷன்,” குணத்தை பிருஹதாரண்யக உபநிஷத்தில் ரிஷி யாக்ஞவல்கியர் விளக்கியுள்ளார்.
‘இது காணப்படாதது, ஆனால் பார்ப்பது; கேட்கப்படாதது, ஆனால் கேட்பது; உணரப்படாதது, ஆனால் உணர்வது; அறியப்படாதது, ஆனால் அறிந்தது. அவரைத் தவிர வேறு பார்ப்பவர் இல்லை, அவரைத் தவிர வேறு கேட்பவர் இல்லை, அவரைத் தவிர வேறு உணர்பவர் இல்லை, அவரைத் தவிர வேறு அறிபவர் இல்லை. இது உங்கள் ஆன்மா, உள்ளே ஆட்சி செய்பவர், இதுவே மூளையிடும் எல்லா ‘ கட்டளைகளுக்கும் கட்டளையாக’ விளங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது.
அதாவது எந்தவொரு இயக்கத்திற்கும் காரணமான கட்டளைமயமான எண்ணங்கள் எழுவதற்கு முக்கிய மூலமான, கட்டளைகளுக்கு எல்லாம் ஆதார சக்தியாய் விளங்கும் புருஷ கட்டளையை, பிராணனின் வழியாக, இறங்கு முகமாக உள் சென்று உணரும்போது, ஒருவரது ஆன்மீக சாதனை நிறைவடைகிறது.
திருப்பதி வெங்கடாஜலபதி தமது உலகளாவிய புருஷத்துவம் எல்லா மனிதர்களிடமும் உள்ள நாபி கமலத்தில் ஒளிர்ந்து கொண்டிருப்பதை தமது இடது கையால் சுட்டிக் காண்பித்தும், ஒவ்வொருவரும் தம் பிராணனின் வழியாக உள் இறங்கி அதை அடையலாம் என்பதை சுட்டிக்காட்ட, பெருமாள் தனது வலது கரத்தை கீழ் நோக்கி காண்பித்தும் அருள் பாலித்து கொண்டு இருக்கிறார். மேலும் இத்தகைய பெருமாளின் வடிவம் திருப்பதியைத் தவிர வேறு எங்கும் காணப்படாது என்பதும் திருப்பதி ஸ்தலத்தின் தனி சிறப்பாகும்.

The heart referred to by Sri Ramana Maharshi here is not a physical object but a place full of masculinity that serves as the main force for Prakriti, and that Prakriti has expanded into eight parts: the body, mouth, eyes, ears, nostrils, mind, intellect, and ego.
The head is the most important of the eight Prakriti elements, according to the proverb, “The head is the most important part of the body. This is because the brain, which transmits the ‘command’ for all organs to function, is located in the head. But in reality, it is the underlying force, Purushatva, that is interpreted as ‘command to command.’ Despite lacking a physical form, Purushatva possesses this attribute.
Rishi Yagnavalkya explained the attributes of Purushatva in the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:
It’s unseen, but seen; unheard, but heard; unperceived, but perceived; unknown, but known.There is no other seer than he, no other hearer than he, no other perceiver than he, and no other knower than he. This entity is your Self, the ruler within, the immortal one. This command is referred to as the ‘command of all commands’ given by the brain.
The Purushatva’s command is the primary source of all commands—as thoughts that cause every movement and serve as the sole force behind all commands.When a person achieves and understands Purushatva through the descending pranas from their nostrils or inner breath, as stated by Sri Ramana Maharshi, it is believed that their spiritual journey towards immortality is completed.
Tirupati Venkatachalapathy uses his left hand to indicate the presence of his Purushatva and to further express his universal Purushatva, which is only uniquely present in every individual. and shines. Additionally, to demonstrate that everyone can reach this Purushatva through their inner breath or descending pranas from their nostrils, Lord Venkateshwara extends His right hand downwards and bestows His grace. Moreover, the unique feature of Lord Venkateshwara in the Tirupati temple is that this specific structure of the Lord cannot be found anywhere else except in Tirupati.
