What is true renunciation?

“காட்சியும் கானாக் காட்சியும் அதுதரும்
ஆட்சியும் ஆகிய அருட்பெருஞ்ஜோதி”
(அகவல்:153)

True renunciation is not attempting to withdraw from the worldly scene but realizing that I am the only giver of all worldly scenes without seeing them. That is, instead of being the worldly scenes, becoming the light that is the source of worldly scenes, as stated by Vallalaar.

In Chapter 2 of the Ashtavakra Gita, the seer is described as follows: “As I alone give light to this body, so I do to the world.” As a result, I see the entire globe, and there are no other seers but me (Athman).”

உண்மையான துறவு என்பது உலகக் காட்சியிலிருந்து விலக முயற்சிப்பதல்ல, மாறாக உலகக் காட்சிகளைப் பார்க்காமலேயே அவற்றைக் கொடுப்பவன் நான் மட்டுமே என்பதை உணர்ந்து கொள்வதாகும். அதாவது, வள்ளலார் கூறியது போல், உலகக் காட்சிகளாக இருப்பதற்குப் பதிலாக, உலகக் காட்சிகளின் மூலமாக இருக்கும் ஒளியாக மாறுவது.

அஷ்டவக்ர கீதையின் 2 ஆம் அத்தியாயத்தில், பார்ப்பவர் பின்வருமாறு விவரிக்கப்படுகிறார்: “நான் மட்டும் இந்த உடலுக்கு ஒளி கொடுப்பது போல, உலகத்திற்கும் நான் ஒளி தருகிறேன்.” இதன் விளைவாக, நான் முழு உலகத்தையும் பார்க்கிறேன், என்னைத் தவிர வேறு பார்ப்பவர் எவரும் இல்லை.
