Indeed, every human being is designed with sapta swaras. However, no one is aware of an additional swaram, known as the eighth swaram, which is concealed within each human body. If one can recognize this unknown eighth swarm and constantly tune out, it has the ability to govern the seven swaras, including the human form, and he can be freed from all sorts of disease, including death. All Vedas refer to this eight-swaram as sapta brahman.
The Srimad Bhagavatam affirms this, stating that Lord Sri Krishna was born as the eighth child, or eighth swaram,and governed the seven swaras within and manifested as the pure Sapta Brahma swarupam, which is also an atma swaroopam of all beings. Thus Sri Krishna manifested himself as Ashra Brahmam, hence he also got the name ‘Ashyan’.

ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணர் எட்டாவது குழந்தையாக அல்லது எட்டாவது ஸ்வரமாகப் பிறந்தார், மேலும் ஏழு ஸ்வரங்களை ஆளும் மற்றும் சுத்த சப்த பிரம்ம ஸ்வரூபமாக வெளிப்பட்டார், இது அனைத்து உயிரினங்களின் ஆத்மா ஸ்வரூபமாகவும் விளங்குகிறது என்று ஸ்ரீமத் பாகவதம் இதை உறுதிப்படுத்துகிறது. இவ்வாறு ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணர் தன்னை அஷ்ர பிரம்மமாக வெளிப்படுத்தியதால், அவருக்கு ‘அஷ்யன்’ என்ற பெயரும் ஏற்பட்டது.
