Interpretation; Sri Ramana Maharishi taught that silence is synonymous with non-stop speech. Speech, then, is meant to be something that is spoken intermittently.
The river water will dry up from time to time, so don’t try to find your true self through intermittent speech. Rather, the eternal ocean has a voice, and listen to it, i.e., the immortal soul has a voice that doesn’t use the words; if observed through silence, it sounds like ceaseless speech.

ஸ்ரீ ரமண மகரிஷி, மௌனம் என்பது இடைவிடாத பேச்சுக்கு இணையானதாகும் என்று போதித்தார். அப்படியானால், பேச்சு என்பது இடையிடையே பேசப்படும் ஒன்று. நதிநீர் அவ்வப்போது வறண்டு போகும், இப்படி இடைப்பட்ட பேச்சு மூலம் உங்களின் உண்மையான ஆன்மாவை கண்டறிய முயலாதீர்கள். மாறாக, வற்றாத கடலுக்கு ஒரு குரல் உள்ளது, அதைக் கேளுங்கள், அதாவது, அழியாத ஆன்மாவிற்கு வார்த்தைகளைப் பயன்படுத்தாத ஒரு குரல் உள்ளது; மௌனத்தின் மூலம் கவனித்தால், அது இடைவிடாத பேச்சாகத் தோன்றும்.
