The essential goal of human birth is to remain true to the idea that God exists. Its secret name is ‘Sathyasa Sathyamiti’, which means “truth to truth!” Whoever chants this secret name with its attributes and without halting becomes one with God.
In Brihadaranyagopanishattu, Chapter II:1.20, it’s narrated that “Satyasya Satyamidhi” means truth to truth. Pranas running through every human being is the truth for the truth that God exists within.
In this manner, whoever chants the name “Satyasya Satyamidhi” in his every breath, without ceasing, will become one with God, who resides within him.
Although this applies to everyone on earth, this practice is called a ‘passive act’ because it is impossible to know other people doing it. Consequently, “Satyasya Satyamidhi” is mentioned as a secret name in this Upanishad.
மனிதப் பிறப்பின் இன்றியமையாத குறிக்கோள், கடவுள் இருக்கிறார் என்ற எண்ணத்தில் உண்மையாக இருப்பதுதான். அதன் ரகசியப் பெயர் “ஸத்யஸ்ய ஸத்யமிதி“, அதாவது “உண்மைக்கு உண்மை!” இந்த இரகசிய நாமத்தை அதன் குணங்களோடும், இடைவிடாமலும் ஜபிப்பவர் கடவுளோடு ஒன்றிவிடுகிறார்.
பிருஹதாரண்யகோபநிஷத்து, அத்தியாயம் II:1.20 இல், “ஸத்யஸ்ய ஸத்யமிதி” என்பது சத்தியத்திற்கு உண்மை என்று கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. அதாவது ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனுக்குள்ளும் இயங்கும் பிராணன் தான் கடவுள் உள்ளுக்குள் இருக்கிறார் என்ற உண்மைக்கான உண்மை.
இவ்வாறே, “ஸத்யஸ்ய ஸத்யமிதி“ என்ற நாமத்தை எவன் தன் ஒவ்வொரு மூச்சிலும் இடைவிடாமல் ஜபிக்கிறானோ, அவன் தன்னுள் குடிகொண்டிருக்கும் கடவுளோடு ஒன்றிவிடுகிறான்.
இது பூமியில் உள்ள அனைவருக்கும் பொருந்தும் என்றாலும், இந்த நடைமுறையை ‘செயலற்ற செயல்‘ என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறது, ஏனெனில் மற்றவர்கள் அதைச் செய்வதை அறிய முடியாது. இதன் விளைவாக, “ஸத்யஸ்ய ஸத்யமிதி“ என்பது இந்த உபநிடதத்தில் ஒரு இரகசியப் பெயராகக் குறிப்பிடப்பட்டுள்ளது.
