Interpretation:
1: Om, lead us from unreality (of transitory existence) to reality (of the eternal self).

2: Lead us from the darkness (of ignorance) to the light (of spiritual knowledge).

3: Lead us from the Fear of Death to the Knowledge of Immortality.

4: Om Peace, Peace, Peace.

To be rid of the ignorance of seeing a rope as a snake in the dark is a lie, and to realize that it is actually a rope in the light of true knowledge, one needs, first, that light must be bestowed by divine grace. Because in a state of dim light, one is seen as the other, that is, the true as false, only in the half-light.

Thus, the light that is received, inspired by the divine grace of the true Guru, is manifested as true and false by the light itself. The grace of the Guru completely removes the doubt and fear that lead to death, allowing one to realize the natural state of liberation from life.

Therefore, let us thus pray for the beginningless and endless auspicious light!

இருளில் ஒரு கயிற்றைப் பாம்பாகக் காணும் பொய்யான அறியாமையிலிருந்து விடுபட்டு, மெய் ஞானத்தின் ஒளியில் அது உண்மையில் ஒரு கயிறுதான் என்பதை உணர்வதற்கு, முதலில் அந்த ஒளி தெய்வீக அருளால் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும். ஏனெனில், மங்கலான ஒளியில் தான், ஒன்று மற்றொன்றாக, அதாவது உண்மை பொய்யாகத் தோன்றும்; அதுவும் அந்த அரை ஒளியில் மட்டுமே.

இவ்வாறு, மெய்யான குருவின் தெய்வீக அருளால் தூண்டப்பட்டுப் பெறப்படும் ஒளி, அந்த ஒளியாலேயே பொய் மறைந்து உண்மை வெளிப்படுகிறது. குருவின் அருள், மரணத்திற்கு வழிவகுக்கும் சந்தேகத்தையும் பயத்தையும் முற்றிலுமாக நீக்கி, ஒருவரைப் பிறவியிலிருந்து விடுதலை பெறும் இயற்கையான நிலையை உணரச் செய்கிறது. எனவே, தொடக்கமும் முடிவும் இல்லாத அந்த மங்களகரமான ஒளிக்காக இவ்வாறு பிரார்த்திப்போம்!
