“When the light returns to its source, it takes nothing from what it has illuminated.” :Sufi saint Hazrath Rumi
What made it (the light) shine? Through one’s ‘I’ ego, through the mind and intellect, through the five senses of body, mouth, eyes, ears, and nose. Everything that is perceived (including the universe) is illuminated by light.
When the light returns to its source, the worlds that it has illuminated—the five senses of body, mouth, eye, ear, nose, intellect, mind, and the ego of ”I’—take nothing. All of this, including the universe, simply reflects light and is not alien to the source light!
Ashtavakra Gita, Chapter 2: States “As I alone give light to this body, so I do to the world. As a result, the whole world is mine, or alternatively, nothing is.”.
And hence if one who realizes there is nothing other than the light perceives and meditates on all reflections as the light alone, he becomes one with eternal light instead of returning to the reflections again.
“ஒளி அதன் மூலத்திற்குத் திரும்பும்போது, அது ஒளிரச் செய்ததில் இருந்து எதையும் எடுக்காது.” :சூஃபி துறவி ஹஸ்ரத் ரூமி
அது(ஒளி) ஒளிரச் செய்ததது எது? ஒருவரின் ‘நான்’ என்னும் அகங்காரத்தால் மனதினாலும், புத்தியினாலும், மெய்,வாய்,கண்,காது,மூக்கு என்னும் ஐம்புலன்கள் வழியாக உணரப்படுபவைகள் யாவுமே (பிரபஞ்சம் உட்பட), ஒளியால் ஒளிரச் செய்ததது ஆகும்.
ஒளி அதன் மூலத்திற்குத் திரும்பும்போது, அது ஒளிரச் செய்த உலகங்கள்,மெய்,வாய், கண், காது, மூக்கு என்னும் ஐம்புலன்கள்,புத்தி, மனம், ‘நான்’ என்னும் அகங்காரம் இவைகள் எதையும் எடுக்காது. ஏனெனில் இவைகள் யாவுமே (பிரபஞ்சம் உட்பட) ஒளியின் பிரதிபலிப்பே அன்றி மூலமான ஒளிக்கு அந்நியமானவைகள் அல்ல!
அஷ்டவக்ர கீதை, அத்தியாயம் 2: கூறுகிறது: “நான் ஒருவனே இந்த உடலுக்கு ஒளி கொடுப்பது போல, உலகுக்கும் செய்கிறேன். இதன் விளைவாக, முழு உலகமும் என்னுடையது, அல்லது மாற்றாக, எதுவும் யெனதில்லை.”
எனவே, ஒளியைத் தவிர வேறெதுவும் இல்லை என்பதை உணர்ந்தவர், எல்லாப் பிரதிபலிப்புகளையும் ஒளியாக மட்டுமே உணர்ந்து தியானித்தால், அவர் மீண்டும் பிரதிபலிப்புகளுக்குத் திரும்புவதற்குப் பதிலாக நித்திய ஒளியுடன் ஒன்றாக மாறுகிறார்.
