This morning, a rainbow appeared in front of my ‘Srivatsam’ apartment. Then these thoughts came to me…
“The rainbow’s seven colors do not include black and white.” The black color develops during profound slumber. In the wisdom of knowing, a white color appears. The seven colors stand for desire, anger, aversion, greed, attachment, fanaticism, and jealousy.”
The seven gunas or colors do not appear temporarily in a dark cloud or profound slumber; in pure white sunlight, the seven gunas or colors would not emerge at all. These seven colors, or gunas, arise and disappear in the gray area between black and white. therefore,
“The head that worships not the feet of Him, who is possessed of eight attributes, is as useless as a sense without the power of sensation.”
According to Thiruvalluvar’s Kural, if we consistently worship the sunlight within ourselves, which has no effect on the seven attributes, then anyone can attain the state of ‘Eighth Guna’ by captivating the rainbow, i.e., overcoming the seven Guna’s.
