A particle vibrating as a result of your sound when you speak can instantly affect a molecule within a star at the edge of the universe, according to quantum theory. This is referred to as quantum entanglement. The sense of separation is the most powerful illusion in this universe.
In the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad, Rishi Yagyavalkya defined this sound as an unmanifest ether. The great ones name this Aksharam; in practice, it is expanded to Panchacharam.
“Everything in this universe works because of the command of this Akshram.” Its only command is to exist. It is because of the existence of this being that the sun and the moon follow their own course in orbit and that various star areas are held together in their rightful locations.
Because of the existence of this command, the earth, heavens, and transitional atmosphere are held together in place.
All of the distinctions we make in time, such as year and month, day and night, etc., and hours and minutes, and so on, take on significance as a result of the subtle functioning of this being.
Because of the operation of this creature, the rivers flow in diverse directions. Everything follows its natural course, in accordance with the rule of this being.
The Panchatcharam called Namashivaya’ is the eternally blissful Sabta Jyotir Brahmam that combines all five elements, such as earth, water, air, fire, and space, as one body, one mind, and one consciousness. And so ‘Knowing the Shivam and universe’means to perceive all activities emanating from oneself as an expression of Shiva Shakti. When this is realized, the experience will be as if the entire ocean merged into one drop of water. And the person is said to be the knower of Akshram.
Gārgi, there may be many people in this world who perform large sacrifices, give much in charity, and do great austerities or penances for years and years together. For thousands of years, they may do these virtuous deeds in this world, but if they do not know this secret of the absolute, then perishability is the effect of all this activity. Even thousands of years of penance and philanthropy will yield nothing worthwhile in the end. It will fall like withered leaves, with no life in it, if it is disconnected from this vitality, which is the Supreme Absolute.
Miserable, indeed, is the fate of that person who does not have this knowledge, Akshram. The disconnection of his awareness from this ubiquitous Akshram will cause him to experience defeat, frustration, suffering, agony, and mental anguish wherever he goes.
He is called a Brāhmaṇa, or a great knower, who departs from this world, having known this Akshram.” The goal of life is therefore the realization of this Supreme Being, and every other activity is an auxiliary to this realization. Whatever virtue, whatever righteous deeds we may have to perform as our duty in the different walks of life in the world—all these are only of an auxiliary value, an ordinary utility.
