The Sanskrit word “Sri” also refers to the goddess Lakshmi. Lakshmi is the stable divine feature who possesses all of the energy of light.
The Sanskrit word aham, which means “I,” contains the total energy of light and sound. It means the one who possesses the entire compound energy of light and sound within him, as well as the divine features of the goddess Sri Lakshmi and the god Ranganathan.
In this sense, Srirangam is not a physical location; rather, it is a state of being in which one possesses the entire compound energy of Sri (light) and Rang (sound) within his Aham.
“ஸ்ரீ” என்ற சமஸ்கிருத வார்த்தை லட்சுமி தேவியையும் குறிக்கிறது. லக்ஷ்மி என்பது ஒளியின் அனைத்து ஆற்றலையும் கொண்ட நிலையான தெய்வீக அம்சமாகும்.
அதேபோல், “ரங்” என்ற சமஸ்கிருத வார்த்தைக்கு செல்வது அல்லது நகர்வது என்று பொருள். ஸ்ரீரங்கத்தின் பெருமாள் ரங்கநாதன் கோவிலுக்கு வெளியே நகர்ந்து எங்கும் செல்கிறார். அவர் ஒலியின் அனைத்து ஆற்றலுடனும் நகரும் தெய்வீக அம்சம்.
சமஸ்கிருத வார்த்தையான அஹம், அதாவது “நான்”, ஒளி மற்றும் ஒலியின் மொத்த ஆற்றலைக் கொண்டுள்ளது. ஒளி மற்றும் ஒலியின் முழு கூட்டு ஆற்றலையும், ஸ்ரீ லக்ஷ்மி தேவி மற்றும் ஸ்ரீ ரங்கநாத பெருமாளின் தெய்வீக அம்சங்களையும் தன்னுள் வைத்திருப்பவர் என்பது இதன் பொருள்.
இந்த அர்த்தத்தில், ஸ்ரீரங்கம் ஒரு பௌதிக இருப்பிடம் அல்ல; மாறாக, ஒருவர் தனது அஹத்துக்குள் ஸ்ரீ (ஒளி) மற்றும் ரங் (ஒலி) ஆகியவற்றின் முழு கூட்டு ஆற்றலையும் கொண்டிருக்கும் ஸ்ரீ ரங் அஹம் என்னும் உன்னத நிலை.
