வாழ்க்கை என்பது பிடிப்பதும் விட்டுவிடுவதும் ஆகும்.
அதாவது ‘பிடிப்பது விடுவது‘ என்னும் இவ்விரண்டு தன்மைகளும், ஒரே சமயத்தில் ஒவ்வொருவருடைய வாழ்க்கையிலும் காலங்கள் பல கடந்தும், இடைவிடாது நிகழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. அவ்வாறாயின் பிடிப்பதற்கும் விடுவதற்கும் முடிவே இல்லை என்றால், ‘வாழ்க்கை‘ என்பதும் முடிவே இல்லை என்றாகிறது.
‘உடம்பே‘ நான் என்று ஒருவர் கருதும் அக்கணமே ‘பிடிப்பு‘ என்னும் மாய வலைக்குள் அகப்பட்டுக் கொள்கிறார். மேலும் அம்மாய வலையில், அவ்வுடம்பினுள் குடிகொண்டிருக்கும் ‘ஆத்மா‘ அறியப்படாததின் காரணம் எக்கணத்திலும் ‘உயிரானது‘ அவ்வுடம்பை ‘விட்டுவிடுவது‘ என்னும் நிகழ்வும் அறியாமலேயே சேர்த்தே பின்னப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது.
அவ்வாறு ‘உயிரானது‘ அவ்வுடம்பை ‘விட்டு‘ விலகிய அக்கணமே வேறு ஒரு உடம்பை ‘பிடித்துக்‘ கொள்ளும். அதன் மூலம் ‘பிடிப்பதும் விட்டுவிடுவதும்‘ முடிவில்லாமல் தொடர்வதால், ‘வாழ்க்கை‘ என்பதும் அம்மாய வலையில் சிக்கிக் கொண்டு முடிவே இல்லாமல் தொடர்ந்து பயணிக்கின்றது.

தோற்றத்திற்கு அப்பாற்பட்டது என்பது இவ்வுடம்பினுள் குடிகொண்டுள்ள ‘உயிர் அல்லது ஆத்ம சொரூபமாகும்‘. தோற்றத்திற்கு உட்பட்டது என்பது ‘இவ்வுடல்‘ என்பதாகும்.
‘உயிர் அல்லது ஆத்மசொரூபத்தை‘ மட்டும் வணங்குபவர்கள் குருட்டு இருளில் விழுகின்றனர்; மேலும் ‘உடம்பை‘ மட்டும் வணங்குபவர்கள் இன்னும் பெரிய இருளில் விழுகின்றனர். உயிர்(விட்டுவிடுவது) மற்றும் உடம்பு (பிடிப்பது) இரண்டையும் ஒன்று சேர அறிந்தால், ஆத்மாவால் அழியாத தன்மையை எய்தி, ‘உடம்பால்‘ மரணத்தை வென்று, வாழ்க்கையை நிலைபெறச் செய்யலாம்!

“Life is a balance of holding on and letting go”
Interpretation:
That is, these two characteristics of “holding and letting go” occur in everyone’s life at the same time, indefinitely. If grasping and letting go have no end, then life is also infinite.
The moment one’s hold the thought, “I am the body,” they become entangled in the deceptive web of “holding on.” And because it is not known by knowledge, the soul of the body is also caught in this web. As a result, the soul can “let go” of the body at any given moment. The lives of all humans are inextricably linked, unbeknownst to them, to this phenomenon.
As a result, the “soul” leaves that body and “takes hold” of another. Since these ‘grasping and letting go’ continues indefinitely, ‘life’ is also caught in this net and travels indefinitely.

Those who worship the Unmanifested, enter into blinding darkness; but those who are devoted to the Manifest, enter into greater darkness. The unmanifest represents the soul and the manifest represents the body. He who knows these two – the Unmanifested or Soul (letting go) and Destruction or the body (holding on) – together, attains immortality through the Unmanifested by crossing death through Destruction.
