1. Let him never abuse food, that is the rule. Breath is food; the body eats the food. The body rests on the breath, breath rests on the body. This is the food resting on food.
The everlasting voice hidden in every breath is food for the body, and the body absorbs the food. If the divine sound is not known, every breath becomes an abused food. Through the divine dictum, the body penetrates into the God’s voice, and the divine voice penetrates into that body. Thus the food is abiding on food.
Interpretation:
The water inside the body is food for the fire, and the fire eats the food. If the energy of the sperm is used incorrectly, water like blood will become to shun food. Through the divine dictum, the fire absorbs the water, and the water soothes the fire. Thus the food is abiding on food.
Taittirîyaka-Upanishad: Part :3:9
3. Let him acquire much food, that is the rule. Earth is food; the ether eats the food. The ether rests on the earth, the earth rests on the ether. This is the food resting on food.
Interpretation:
The earth contained in the body is the food of space, and space devours the food. The magic word is that if the body is adequately nourished, then the soul will grow too. Through the divine dictum, the space abides in the body, and the body abides in the space. Thus the food is abiding on food.
4. He who knows this (recognizes and worships Brahman) as a possession in speech, as acquisition and possession in an up-breathing (prana) and down-breathing (apâna); an action in the hands; as walking on the feet; As voiding in the anus. These are the human recognition (of Brahman manifested In human actions).
5. I am food (object), I am food, I am food! I am the eater of food (subject),
