The Savitri Upanishad (Sanskrit: सावित्री उपनिषत्), or Savitryupanishad, is a Sanskrit text and one of the minor Upanishads of Hinduism. It is attached to the Samaveda and one of the Samanya Upanishads. The title of the text alludes to the Hindu Sun god.
The Upanishad describes the Savitri-Vidya (knowledge of sunlight), asserting that everything in the universe is a manifestation of the masculine Savitr and feminine Savitri, elaborating on the Gayatri Mantra. The text also presents the Advaitic notion of nondual Brahman, as well as two mantras called the Bala (Strength) and Atibala (Super Strength) to meditate on Virat Purusha and Om.
If the undivided, unidentified, unchanged, and infinite energy of “Atibala” is not realized, then it shall be known only in the name of “Bala.” It means that undivided, unidentified, immutable energy will be shown as changing from one form to another endlessly. The mantra saptham “Bala” denotes “kinetic energy,” and the mantra saptham “Atibala” means “potential energy.” The individual who perfectly synchronizes both the “Bala” and “Atibala” Gayatri mantra sapthams in an uncountable and uninterruptible manner overcomes death through the saptham of the “Bala” mantra and attains immortality through the saptham of the “Atibala” mantra.

சாவித்ரி உபநிஷத் (சமஸ்கிருதம்: सावित्री उपनिषत्), அல்லது சாவித்ரியுபநிஷத், ஒரு சமஸ்கிருத உரை மற்றும் இந்து மதத்தின் சிறிய உபநிடதங்களில் ஒன்றாகும். இது சாமவேதம் மற்றும் சமய உபநிடதங்களில் ஒன்றோடு இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. உரையின் தலைப்பு இந்து சூரியக் கடவுளைக் குறிக்கிறது.
உபநிடதம் சாவித்ரி–வித்யா (சூரிய ஒளி பற்றிய அறிவு) விவரிக்கிறது, பிரபஞ்சத்தில் உள்ள அனைத்தும் ஆண்பால் சாவித்ர மற்றும் பெண்பால் சாவித்திரியின் வெளிப்பாடு என்று வலியுறுத்துகிறது, காயத்ரி மந்திரத்தை விவரிக்கிறது. விராட் புருஷன் மற்றும் ஓம் பற்றி தியானிக்க பலா (வலிமை) மற்றும் அதிபலா (அதிதீத வலிமை) எனப்படும் இரண்டு மந்திரங்களையும், அத்வைதக் கருத்தையும் இந்த உரை முன்வைக்கிறது. “அதிபலா” என்ற பிரிக்கப்படாத, அடையாளம் காணப்படாத, மாறாத மற்றும் எல்லையற்ற ஆற்றல் உணரப்படாவிட்டால், அது “பலா” என்ற பெயரில் மட்டுமே அறியப்படும். பிரிக்கப்படாத, அடையாளம் காணப்படாத, மாறாத ஆற்றல் ஒரு வடிவத்திலிருந்து மற்றொரு வடிவத்திற்கு முடிவில்லாமல் மாறுவதாகக் காட்டப்படும்.
மந்திர சப்தம் “பலா” என்பது “இயக்க ஆற்றலை” குறிக்கிறது மற்றும் மந்திர சப்தம் “அதிபலா” என்பது “சாத்தியமான ஆற்றல்” என்று பொருள். “பலா” மற்றும் “அதிபலா” மந்திர சப்தங்கள் இரண்டையும் கணக்கிலடங்கா மற்றும் இடையறாத வகையில் ஒருங்கிணைக்கும் தனிமனிதன் “பலா” மந்திரத்தின் சப்தத்தின் மூலம் மரணத்தை வென்று “அதிபலா” மந்திரத்தின் சப்தத்தின் மூலம் அழியாத நிலையை அடைகிறான்.
அத்தியாயம் 4 தன்னை உலகின் பிரிக்கப்படாத பிரபஞ்ச ஆற்றல் என்று அறிந்தவன் அரிதானவன்.
